The Make Publishing Fun Summit
#1 NYT Bestselling Author & Keynote speaker Marci Shimoff kicks off 26 interviews with experts on how to Prepare, Plan, Produce, Publish and Promote your book.
Want to write a book? Have an inspiring message to share? The Make Publishing Fun Summit will show you How to Get Your Book Out of Your Head and Into the World With a Smile on Your Face.
In 2017, I brought together 26 experts to teach you a proven 5-step process that makes the publishing process fun and profitable. This summit was sold for several hundred dollars but is now available to you. The content is still highly relevant, and I’ve added some fun bonus resources on the Resource page at the end of the summit.
Here are the 5 steps:
Prepare: Preparation is all about knowing how you as an author will best fit into the rapidly evolving publishing industry. You must get to know yourself and also understand the industry players in order to survive and thrive.
Plan: To plan is to set your budget, create your writer's manifesto, and choose your publishing model. Begin with the end in mind.
Produce: When you produce a book, you navigate everything from book logistics (ISBN numbers, Library of Congress, etc.) to editing, book layout, and cover design.
Publish: The options for how you publish are more and more diverse today. Print on Demand or Offset? Kindle or Ingram Spark? Print, e-book, or audio?
Promote: The promote phase can be ten times the amount of time and effort as the writing (produce) phase. Know how to navigate your marketing and publicity options from ads to reviews, to webpages, blog posts, podcasts, radio, and TV.
What You'll Get:
- Tons of “Fun Nuggets”
Kathryn is a savvy interviewer having both radio and podcasting extensive experience. She takes the advice from the experts and summarizes it into practical, “fun-sized” nuggets of actionable advice you can use immediately.
- Encouragement to get-moving while you are getting-educated.
As a fitness nut herself, Kathryn encourages you to listen to the audio files while you are on walks, hikes, runs, or doing your favorite fitness routine. We purposely chose audio as the medium for the Make Publishing Fun Summit so that you could free your eyes from video and get out and get your circulation moving while you are learning.
- Awesome resources
This audio summit not only includes the 26 interviews as MP3 files but also includes six downloadable PDFs, access to four masterclasses (videos) and additional resources such as podcasts and website links.
